Welcome to the Tamworth Weather Station. Based in the UK and launched on 9th March
2005, the new site brings you a combination of enhanced features and updated design. Feel free to use
both the Tamworth Weather website and Midlands Weather Forum as the basis for all your
local and national weather requirements. From the serious weather enthusiast, to
beginners, or those just taking a vague interest, all are welcome to what we
hope will be a brand new community.
The Tamworth Weather Vision:
From its conception, Tamworth Weather Station has linked up with
with a variety of local organisations as a weather resource and is ideal for those interested in activities such as
Sailing, Rambling, Scuba Diving, Windsurfing and Waterskiing.
Schools and other organisations that rely on the weather for their
activities and lessons, will also find the site both dynamic and interactive.
Used as a two-way resource, we hope that this site becomes an
invaluable tool to the local community and the national public as a
whole.
At Tamworth Weather Station, we are proud to be using the
Oregon Scientific WMR928NX as supplied by
Meteorologica.
The information is gathered and is displayed as an upto the minute weather resource.
Detail including high temperature,
low temperature, current temperature, wind speed, wind direction,
gusts, windchill, barometric pressure, humidity as well
as current rainfall and rain totals are all listed - just follow the Live Data link.
Weather forecasts and
lightning (sferics) details are covered on the relevant pages of the website, while Severe Weather Warnings
and advisory
information, will be detailed on the forum.
